GSL Education are currently recruiting flexible and reliable Cover Supervisors for day-to-day work in Royston. This role is perfect for individuals seeking varied teaching experiences without the responsibility of full-time planning.

Role Overview:

As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will manage the classroom during teacher absences, delivering pre-set work and ensuring a productive and respectful learning environment. You’ll act as a positive role model and help maintain continuity in students’ education.

Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor:

Supervise classes during teacher absence, ensuring pupils stay on task with set work.

Manage classroom behaviour and promote a safe, focused learning space.

Provide general feedback to teaching staff on student progress and conduct.

Follow school policies and uphold expectations for behaviour and learning.

Requirements for Cover Supervisor:

Experience working in an educational setting is desirable.

Confidence in managing classroom behaviour and engaging with young people.

Adaptability and a proactive attitude.

A strong understanding of safeguarding practices.

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
