Outreach Tutor – English, Maths & Science (Buckinghamshire)

Prospero Teaching is seeking experienced and compassionate Outreach Tutors to deliver tailored, 1:1 tuition in English, Maths and Science to young people across Buckinghamshire who are currently without a school placement. Many of these learners may have been out of education for some time and require patient, engaging, and structured support to help rebuild confidence and reintroduce routine into their lives.

This is an ideal opportunity for qualified teachers or experienced tutors looking for flexible, rewarding work outside the traditional classroom environment. A background in SEN (Special Educational Needs) or experience supporting vulnerable learners is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver personalised 1:1 sessions (English, Maths, Science) based on the student's needs and learning gapsPlan and adapt sessions to suit each learner's educational level and emotional readinessEncourage and motivate disengaged learners to reengage with educationMaintain regular progress updates and liaise with Prospero's support teamDETAILS:

Location: Across Buckinghamshire (home or community settings)Position: Outreach Tutor (Core Subjects)Hours: 10–15 hours per week (flexible scheduling, typically 1–3 hours per session)Start Date: ASAPPay Rate: From 25 per hourContract Type: Temporary (ongoing or until student is reintegrated into school)REQUIREMENTS:

Teaching qualification (QTS, QTLS, PGCE or equivalent) preferredExperience teaching in UK schools (minimum 6 months)SEN experience (e.g. SEMH, ASD, ADHD) highly valuedUp–to–date Safeguarding training (can be provided if needed)A passion for making education accessible for all learnersESSENTIAL:
