Job Title: Year 6 Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Academic Support L25

Start Date: September 2025

About the Role:

Milk Education are seeking a Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in L25 to provide 1:1 academic support for a child in Year 6. This is a rewarding role ideal for someone passionate about helping pupils reach their full potential as they prepare for the transition to secondary school.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide dedicated 1:1 academic support in class, focusing on English and Maths

Work under the direction of the class teacher and SENCO to deliver targeted interventions

Adapt learning tasks to meet the pupil’s individual needs and promote independence

Support emotional wellbeing and build a trusting, positive working relationship

Track progress and contribute to planning and review meetings as required

Help maintain a calm, inclusive, and focused classroom environment

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

Has experience supporting children in KS2, ideally in a 1:1 or small-group capacity

Is patient, reliable, and supportive, with a nurturing approach to behaviour and learning

Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively with staff and families

Understands the importance of confidentiality, safeguarding, and professional conduct

Is committed to helping every child succeed, both academically and emotionally
