Are you passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a one–to–one basis? Do you have the skills to provide tailored support to help children achieve their full potential? If so, Veritas Education is looking for a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Kirklees.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one–to–one support to a student with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring their individual learning and social development needs are met.Assist the classroom teacher in creating a supportive and inclusive environment.Implement tailored strategies and interventions to support the child's learning, behaviour, and emotional development.Help the child to engage with classroom activities, promoting independence and positive self–esteem.Build a positive and trusting relationship with the child, acting as a role model and mentor.Work closely with SENCOs, teachers, and parents to ensure effective communication and progression.Maintain accurate records of the child's progress and development.Requirements:

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role, preferably working with children with SEN.A good understanding of Special Educational Needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, or learning difficulties.Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude towards supporting students with diverse needs.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Relevant qualifications in childcare or education are desirable but not essential.A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or willingness to obtain one.What We Offer:
