1-1 teaching assistant

Description

Seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with Special Educational Needs in a welcoming and supportive school in Liverpool.

The Role:

You will work closely with a pupil on a one-to-one basis, providing tailored support to help them engage with the curriculum, develop confidence, and achieve their learning goals. Your role will also involve working alongside the class teacher, following individual education plans (IEPs), and using strategies to support emotional and social development.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide dedicated 1:1 support to the assigned pupil throughout the school day

* Adapt learning activities to meet the pupil’s individual needs

* Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and parents

* Support with social interaction and emotional well-being

* Encourage independence and positive learning habits

Requirements:

* Previous experience in a similar role or working with children with SEN

* A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach

* Strong communication and teamwork skills

* Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

* Relevant qualifications (desirable but not essential)
