Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant (TA)

Start Date: ASAP / September 2025

Contract Type: Full-Time | Term-Time Only | Temporary to Permanent Opportunity

Salary: £90 - £100 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Cardiff. This is a full-time role, providing one-to-one support for a pupil with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), helping them access the curriculum and thrive in the classroom environment.

The role is ideal for someone who is calm, patient, and passionate about making a difference in a child's educational journey. Previous experience supporting pupils with ALN such as ASD, ADHD, or speech and language needs is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individualised support to a pupil in line with their learning plan

Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management

Track and report on the pupil's progress and well-being

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Experience working as a TA or in a support role within a school setting

A good understanding of ALN and behavioural strategies

A proactive and flexible approach to learning support

A valid Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce) or willingness to obtain one
