Vintage 1970s Solid Wood Storage Drawer Chest

Description

A vintage solid wood storage and filing cabinet. There are some marks to the top surface and inside the top drawer so it would make a good upcycle project (as seems to be the thing at the moment) but structurally it is as solid and sound as the day it was built so has plenty of life in it in its current condition.

It has a large desktop surface with two built-in storage compartments with metal handles. The top compartment has a pull-down door which accesses a good size storage area. The lower compartment has a slide drawer which opens up another storage space which can be divided into different sized spaces using the slot-in divider.

This belonged to my dad who had it in his very first office when he started out as an architect in the early 1980s right through to retirement. It served him well through his entire working life, moving from office to office with him. I have now inherited it along with A LOT of other bits and unfortunately I just don't have the space to keep hold of everything. This is a reluctant sale as I've held on to it for as long as I've been able (allowed!) but the time has come to move it on to a new home where hopefully someone else can get some use from it.
