Description
Original Antique French Display Cabinet CHIFFONIER
Mirrored back, bottle-green velvet lining included in the sale.
Made of Linden wood
with intricate mahogany overlay on boxwood panels.
Incredible amount of work has gone into creating this piece of furniture.
3 Opening Curved Glass Compartments.
All glass intact.
Meticulously and painstakingly DE-upcycled:
one layer of black paint removed, a layer of white paint removed, another layer of black paint removed and finished in French wax to show the original rich honey colour of the woods.
The original handles and hinges.
The wood around the hinges has some historic repairs.
Bottle Green Cotton Velvet detachable lining is included.
Nice practical size:
Height 100cm to top in the middle, and 90 cm high to the side tops.
Width - 104 cm
Depth 40 cm in the middle part, and 30 cm deep at the side parts.
Full of character - true antique.
