These Tannoy 633 Rosewood D30s, complete with original plinths and manual, offer a rare opportunity to acquire a near perfect pair of 100W, 8 Ohm, 89dB floor-standing loudspeakers offering exceptional sound quality.

Featuring a sleek non-rectangular cabinet design in a rich rosewood finish, the speakers each house a pair of 165mm bass and bass/mid-range drivers and one 25mm tweeter to produce improved bass reproduction, strength and power, for crystal-clear audio. With quality wooden cabinets, the speakers weigh 9.5kg each and offer connectivity options including banana jack, bare wire, and spade terminals. Proudly manufactured in Scotland, these Tannoy 633s are a premium choice for those looking for superior audio performance.

Excellent sound quality and lovely condition for their age - just a couple of marks on the plinths and a miniscule pull on one of the fabric covered grilles - deliberately made visible by virtue of a light background in the photo but not so when the grille is in place over the rosewood cabinet. Despite, perhaps, the photos suggesting otherwise, neither the tweeters (gold cones) or drivers have any dents in them - it’s just an optical illusion that I was unable to overcome despite taking photos from different positions and in different lighting conditions!

The tweeters have the original black metal grille covers which prevent damage to the cones. These are magnetic and often go missing so it’s nice to have them in place. The original sliding Bi-wiring links are also in place on the rear terminal blocks.

With a nominal impedance of 8 Ohms and a recommended amplifier power output of 10 - 100 W RMS per channel, these wired speakers provide a clear and powerful sound stage.
