Mission 6-Pack AV Loudspeaker System
The Mission 6-Pack is a dedicated AV and surround-sound package that provides a
complete loudspeaker combination to give a sphere of sound throughout the room from
both music and movie sources. It has long been recommended that the ideal AV
system uses identical full-range speakers for each channel to avoid sudden changes in
image position as sounds are panned between channels. Comprising five compact
satellites that serve as front, centre and rear speakers, and an active subwoofer
designed to provide a solid low-frequency foundation, the 6-Pack gives a coherent
sound field from its set of timbre matched drive units that convincingly immerses the
listener in the movie action or musical performance.
Mission 70 Satellite
The Mission 70 is an ultra-compact loudspeaker developed primarily for home cinema
systems. An evolution of the classic, multi-award winning Mission 73, this new version
now features an updated pair of drive units based upon Mission 700 Series technology.
The purpose of these changes is to allow Mission to offer a selection of loudspeaker
packages that have first rate tonal matching whilst also taking the opportunity to
improve on the original performance of the 73 model. The glass composite bass cone
now extends bass response down to 85Hz (-3dB), as compared with 100Hz previously,
and simultaneously gives a substantial gain in dynamic abilities. The introduction of the
700 Series tweeter has given a similarly large boost to HF performance too. The
Mission 70 has evolved into a speaker capable of doing justice to the new stream of AV
sound formats on the market (Dolby Digital, DTS, etc).
• Precision moulded cabinet in state-of-the-art polymer composite provides a
rugged enclosure with considerable structural integrity.
• Full magnetic shielding allows placement in close proximity to televisions, video
and computer monitors.
• Hexagonal cabinet styling detail facilitates toeing in whilst still retaining very
close proximity to the rear wall. The reduction in parallel surfaces noticeably
reduces the build up of internal standing waves hence giving a more neutral
sound.
