Description
This Xilica XP-8080 DSP loudspeaker processor is an 8-input, 8-output unit which has analog connections on phoenix connectors (matching set of connectors included along with power cable). It uses a 40bit floating point DSP running at 96kHz.
While all operations can be done from the front panel, it is beyond tedious, so I used the (freely downloadable, or I can send you a copy) remote setup software running on Windows 7 (called ‘XConsole’, not sure what other versions of Windows it runs on as I only have a Windows 7 and 10 install), which connects to the unit via USB and allows a user to set up and control the inputs and outputs, and then save that setup as a preset which is easy to recall from the front panel menu.
Each input has a 31-band graphic EQ, an 8-band parametric EQ, input delay and compressor.
Each output has an 8-band parametric EQ, crossover filters (Bessel, Butterworth and Linkwitz-Riley) and a limiter.
It has been upgraded to the latest firmware, and can be demonstrated working using the remote software if collected in person.
