For sale very rare 19th Century Bobbin turned Chair / Armchair.
High backrest, canned seat, bobbin turned back and arms with padded armrests. The chair is standing on bobbin turned front legs and square out-swept back legs. Front legs sit on original brass capped casters. The frame remnants of simulated rosewood decoration.
Size of the chair (approximately):
Height: 40” (101cm)
Width: 22” (56cm)
Depth: 34” (86cm)
Seat Height (without cushion): 11.5” (29cm)
Considering the chair is nearly 200 years old it’s frame is still in very good vintage condition, sturdy and full of character. The canned seat is also in very good condition. The chair will require new cushions as the current ones don’t meet fire regulations (I am happy to provide them so they can be used as templates).
Please see pictures for a better idea of the condition. I have tried to show colours as accurately as possible but please remember colours do appear differently on some monitors.
Item is available for the collection from London, E7 9JX. I can offer a delivery in person to any London address for at a cost of £45. Delivery to London vicinity area is also possible. Please contact me for a quote before making a purchase. London deliveries are only available on late evenings during the week. I am more flexible with the delivery time on weekends. The buyer is also welcome to arrange an own courier collection. I can recommend Proovia (they can provide an instant quote).
