For sale: 2006 Smart City-Cabriolet, silver with black leather heated seats. The vehicle has been in my ownership since 5 September 2012, has been kept undercover and includes a weatherproof cover. It is and has been mechanically reliable and starts on the first turn.

Mileage: True total mileage 101,892 miles. Odometer currently reads 77,321 miles due to replacement of the ECU, instrument console and key; the replacement console displayed 60,834 at installation and the original console previously showed 85,405.

Condition / Performance

Engine runs well; the car starts reliably on the first turn.

Reasonable cosmetic wear commensurate with age.

Recent work and known issues (full transparency)

ECU / instrument console / key replaced, which resulted in the odometer discrepancy noted above.

Chaffed wire located beneath and between the air box was found and sealed; this is a known design issue on this model. The repair is complete and the wiring is now clear of the air box. I will show the location on inspection if requested.

Surface rust: A couple of small points of surface rust are visible in the photographs.

Rear right wheel arch: Cracked plastic (replacement parts are available on breakers / eBay).

Rear plastic window: A few cracks present.

Windscreen: Previously cracked and subsequently replaced; a small chip occurred afterwards and was left.

Windscreen washer nozzle: The nozzle appears blocked and does not allow spray through; the rest of the washer system functions normally and removing the nozzle produces a strong spray. Likely requires deep cleaning or replacement (parts readily available from breakers).

Service history

No formal service receipts retained. (I'm an idiot for not keeping hold of them, we live and learn)

Reason for sale

Sold as I predominantly use other vehicles (van and bikes). This has been a summer, roof-down leisure car and I no longer use it enough to retain it.
