Mid century teak Homeworthy sideboard vinyl record cabinet vintage retro

Description

A lovely mid century teak sideboard in fantastic vintage condition, by British furniture and cabinet makers Homeworthy.

Dating to the early 1960s, this is a great example of an original mid century atomic era sideboard, on the original solid hardwood legs, with few marks or dings to speak of.

The cabinet has a number of useful features below its surface area, which is in lovely condition.

To the left are four wooden drawers which fit seamlessly into the body of the sideboard. The top drawer is subdivided by wooden slats, originally for the storage of cutlery, but now useful for stationery perhaps, etc.

To the right of the drawers are two spacious cabinets, behind which are removing shelves. With the shelves in there are therefore four shelves, with them removed there are two, and this latter option would enable storage of twelve inch vinyl records, if so wished.

Drawers and cabinet doors are finished with the original brass and wood handle pulls.

Mounted on its original solid hardwood legs, this unit would be an excellent complement to any mid century modern styled interior.
