Job Title: Senior Military Airworthiness Consultant

Location: Bristol

Salary: Up to 65k

Working: Hybrid, 3 days

Our Client

A leading engineering and technical organisation is seeking a Senior Military Air Certification Consultant to provide expert guidance on military aviation certification and airworthiness. The successful candidate will work closely with aerospace and defence stakeholders to ensure compliance with military air system certification processes and regulatory requirements. This role offers the chance to influence safety management and certification strategies within a high–profile environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead certification management and compliance assurance for military air systemsPrepare and deliver safety, airworthiness, and technical evaluation documentationDevelop and implement certification management strategies in line with regulatory frameworksLiaise with clients to support aviation certification projects and provide technical expertiseEnsure adherence to Defence Standards and airworthiness codes throughout project lifecycles

Experience

Extensive knowledge of the Military Air System Certification Process (MACP) and associated regulationsProven experience applying ASPIRE, AET Process 08, and MAA regulatory publications (MRP)Familiarity with Defence Standard 00–970, Certification Specifications (CS), and Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs)Experience managing military aviation hazard and accident risk assessmentsStrong written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting and stakeholder engagement

Qualifications

Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status, or working towards this qualificationExperience in creating airworthiness strategies and certification management plansKnowledge of additional Defence Standards such as Def Stan 00–056 is advantageous
