I am a performer and tutor with over 20 years experience in the industry and have a 1st Class hons music degree from Leeds College of Music.

I've performed at major venues all over the world including Ronnie Scott's, Cruise Ships, Ibiza and more. I have also played with big artists including Ella Fitzgerald's Son.

I am a passionate and very organised teacher who always prioritises enjoyment and progression. So, whether it be it passing exams, playing in a band or just developing your skills. I look forward to guiding you on your musical journey.

Its always been an ambition of mine to play the flute. Although my only musical experience was a recorder more than 40 years ago!! I searched online for lesson tutorials and found James. 3 months later I am playing and even beginning to sight read!! James is passionate, helpful and also came to my rescue when I needed it serviced!

When I started learning the Sax, I found it hard to memorise the notes and play music. Learning through James, I was surprised at how quickly I was improving. I used to play years ago and have had 3 different teachers. None of them come close to the quality of his lessons. James has a way of making everything simple. There is no pressure and it makes learning incredibly fun. I strongly recommend.
