Technical Sales Engineer

Description

My client is a leading manufacturer of thermocouples and high temperature sensors and measurement equipment based in Sheffield. They are now looking to hire an experienced Technical Sales Engineer to bolster their in–house team. The ideal candidate will come from a proven Technical Sales background, have experience in both winning new business and nurturing key accounts, be capable in producing estimations and quotations and will ideally have existing thermocouple / temperature sensor knowledge.

Technical Sales Engineer Job Overview

Building and maintaining relationships with a range of customersIdentifying customer needs and providing tailored solutions and accurate quotationsDeveloping proposals, including cost estimations and technical documentationProviding in–depth technical guidance on company productsTroubleshooting and resolving technical challenges, both as pre– and post–sales support functionsMaintaining comprehensive records of customer interactions, solutions offered and sales progress.

Technical Sales Engineer Job Requirements

Previous experience in Technical Sales is essentialKnowledge of Engineering standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 17025 and AMS 2750Strong negotiation, Customer engagement and account management skillsProficient in delivering presentation and product demonstrationsA familiarity with using a CRM system as well as Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of AutoCAD would be beneficialBased within a commutable distance of Sheffield

Technical Sales Engineer Salary & Benefits

Salary 30,000 – 35,000 DOE33 Days holiday inclusive of public holidaysMonday – Thursday 08:15 – 16:45, Friday 08:15 – 14:15Pension
