What you'll be doing;

To ensure that at all times the commercial interests of the delivery team are protectedManaging the commercial relationship with ClientsLeading, mentoring, and managing staff within the teamSupport the work winning team to review/identify risks/accountabilities within tender packs and associated contractual terms and conditionsPrepare, develop and implement commercial strategies for pre and post tenderTake a leading role in transitioning the handover of projects tendered into live projectsDetermination of the scope of work and contractual obligations delivering the work through the interpretation of contract documentsAdvise the business on the differing standard form of contracts used for construction projectsIdentify and manage commercial risk on new and existing contractsQuantifying and costing of infrastructure/M&E worksAccountable for contract compliance and performancePrepare and implement contract management processesCan coherently explain contract conditions that identify variations to contractsBuilds strong and collaborative relationships with key clients and suppliersNegotiate contract agreements and manage potential onerous contractual obligationsContract administration including providing advice on contractual matters and formulating contractual/legal correspondenceFinancial and commercial control including the production of profit and loss, cash flow, KPI, CVR and Cost to Complete statementsWork with Sector Managers/Directors to ensure projects exceed commercial targetsDevelop, finalise and present accurate Management Information (MI) to senior managementSupport the SQS'/Project teams on budgets to determine accurate commercial forecastingPerform continuous programme analysis with identification of any potential delays, riskLiaise with the Procurement team for supply chain engagement and subcontract administrationDiligently provides timely information on the growth of anticipated Final Account valueEnsure compliance of the team towards all safety initiatives and active participation in meeting our safety targets

What we're looking for;

Passionate and experienced Commercial Manager with a proven track record in client management, stakeholder management and problem solving.Relevant Degree or equivalent professional qualification.Thorough knowledge of forms of contract including NEC.Experience working for a main contractor, within the energy sector preferable.
