Interim Building Surveyor – Capital Projects
Council in West Sussex
425– 450 per day (Inside IR35)
6–Month Contract Hybrid Working (1 Day from Home)
I'm working with a local authority in West Sussex looking for an experienced Building Surveyor to support their Capital Works programme on an interim basis.
You'll be joining a proactive and supportive team delivering a wide range of improvement works across a diverse housing stock of approx. 2,700 properties (houses and low–rise flats).
Key Responsibilities:
Delivering capital improvement works, specifically kitchens and bathrooms
Supporting a mini–project to bring 40+ long–term voids back into use (originally earmarked for redevelopment), working closely with contractors
Contributing to the design and development stages of upcoming large–scale capital projects
Overseeing damp & mould refurbishment works across the housing stock
Ensuring works are carried out to a high standard, on time, and within budget
Requirements:
Qualified Building Surveyor with recent experience in social housing or public sector capital works
Strong project management and contractor liaison skills
Understanding of building pathology including damp & mould
Ability to work autonomously and manage a varied workload
The Offer:
425– 450 per day (Outside IR35)
6–month initial contract
1 day working from home
