Sales Adviser (Manufacturing)

Essential Personnel are delighted to be working with a family-run and ever-growing company based in Stockport who are seeking a Sales Adviser to join their team in a fully office-based role.

As a Sales Adviser yourrole is to progress inbound calls to meet and exceed sales targets whilst providing the highest quality of customer experience to meet the business plan and maximise profits.

Main Responsibilities:

Effective delivery of sales targets and goals

To be the first point of contact for inbound sales calls

Making outbound sales calls to target customers

Responsible for generating carrier reports on a daily basis and escalating potential delivery issues to Sales Managers, prioritising key customers

Dealing with Web queries when they arise to minimise customer impact, e.g. alternative products, split deliveries, carriage queries etc

Working cross functionally with Estimating team to support generation of quotes in a timely manner

Calculating carriage costs using the Blue Print spreadsheet

Provision of all relevant information to potential customers including sample products, pricing etc. ensuring that the information is fully understood

Tailor approach to meet customer needs and requirements

Essential Skills:

Experience in sales and customer service

Significant knowledge of negotiation and sales approaches

Excellent communication and rapport building skills

Ability to establish needs of others in order to provide the right product

Good internal and external stakeholder management

Ability to interpret and manage self against tracking systems and procedures

Experience of ERP and CRM systems (Sage desirable)

Working hours are Mon-Friday 08:30 to 17:00 This is a fully office-based role.
