Description

Alliance Personnel are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales professional to join one of their clients based in Lichfield. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, building strong customer relationships, and delivering exceptional service. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying customer needs and providing tailored solutions to meet those needs.

Purpose of Role:

The role is responsible for overseeing the customer sales experience for direct to site enquiries, with core focus on maintaining customer data and delivering an exceptional service. You will build long-term relationships with the aim of increasing growth and profitability by customer account(s).

You will proactively take care of the customer quotation, order and delivery service, representing the brand and encouraging repeat business. As a team member your timely communication and active input in service development will be encouraged and valued.

Key Responsibilities:

* Professionally engage and respond to incoming telephone and e-mail sales enquiries in a timely fashion.

* Maintain and develop strong relationships with all respective customers.

* Proactively engage and deliver all marketing and product promotions.

* Produce and follow up verbal and written quotations, ensuring accurate and in full data input/capture.

* Responsibility to ensure that all product training has been completed and proactively seek new knowledge from other departments through open dialogue.

* Using trained knowledge provide product and application advice to all customer groups or pass on to suitable technical support in good time, ensuring customer service follow up communication.

* Ensure customer relationship knowledge is shared both using CRM and updating colleagues in other internal and external teams.

* Attendance to trade shows, corporate events, displays and meetings as and when required.

* Responsible for ensuring SPA agreements are adhered to and associated account managers are updated on service performance in good time, ensuring proactive communication.

* Responsible for notifying line manager for exceptional sales that may lead to stock shortage.

* Responsible for promoting effective and constructive communication and the team ethic.

* All meetings to have agendas and action points set.

* Provide and collate commercial market knowledge and feedback to Line Manager, for continual market assessment to ensure the company maintains an optimum competitive position both technically and commercially.

* Relationship building expertise and strong negotiation skills.

* Oversee the transition and encourage the creation of merchant lead enquiries to the specialist sales teams; Iron, geosynthetics and steel. Work closely with the heads of the specialist sales teams to ensure that sales service, strategies and market intelligence is shared and harmonised.

* Responsibility to oversee the correct use of CRM and data capture protocols.

* Ensure effective engagement and use of project tracking tools from start to completion of identified project, all your inputs to be communicated effectively and in good time across the business.

* Implement sales techniques with a specific focus on ‘add on’ accessorised sales.

* Engage in the use of all company communication formats e.g., SharePoint

* It is expected all employees support and abide to the company's team values and culture

Working hours: Monday to Friday, flexible hours either 7:30am - 4pm or 8:30am - 5pm (37.5hrs per week)
