Head of Communications
We re looking for a Head of Communications for our public sector client on an initial 5–month contract paying between GBP600 to GBP700 per day inside IR35, depending on experience.
This contract is 4 days per week.
This role allows hybrid working with an expectation to attend the office as required.
The successful Head of Communications and Engagement Transformation will play a pivotal role in redesigning how the client approaches communications and community engagement. This is a high–impact interim role following the departure of the Head of Corporate Office – offering the chance to build a stronger, more joined–up model across press, digital, marketing, policy and community functions.
You ll lead on:
Defining and delivering a new operating model for communications and engagement across the council Working closely with elected members to establish a clear, shared vision Managing corporate office functions day–to–day – including communications, policy, democratic services, and community engagement Driving measurable improvements in public engagement and visibility Providing leadership and line management across a cross–functional team You will need:
Strong senior leadership experience in public sector communications and engagement A background in operating model transformation or service redesign Proven ability to engage senior stakeholders and lead change Experience managing multi–disciplinary teams across communications, engagement and policy A politically astute, outcomes–driven approach Interested?
