External Account Manager

Location: Field–based (Midlands & South England)

Package: Competitive salary + company car/car allowance + bonus + benefits

A leading chemical distribution business is seeking an experienced and motivated External Account Manager to join its Personal Care division, covering the Midlands and South of England.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well–established business with a strong product range, a supportive team environment, and a clear path for career progression within the personal care and chemical sectors.

This is a field–based sales role focused on promoting and selling speciality chemical ingredients to personal care manufacturers. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing existing accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and working closely with technical and internal sales teams to deliver tailored solutions that drive sustainable, profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Promote a diverse portfolio of speciality chemical ingredients to manufacturers in the personal care sector Manage and grow a defined territory, building long–term customer relationships Identify and convert new business opportunities across the Midlands and South Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including technical sales managers and market specialists Maintain accurate records using CRM, including visit reports, pricing updates, and opportunity tracking Monitor market trends and report on competitor activity Your Skills & Experience Proven experience in B2B sales, ideally within personal care or chemical ingredients Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a customer–focused approach Commercially astute, self–motivated, and results–driven Full UK driving licence (essential)
