Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Payroll Assistant to join a well-established retail business, operating on a international scale. This is a confidential vacancy for a reputable company with a fantastic team culture and a real commitment to employee development.

You'll be joining a supportive and collaborative payroll team, where you'll gain hands-on experience across multiple payroll cycles and have the chance to work closely with a dedicated payroll mentor to help build your technical skills and payroll knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the preparation and processing of high-volume payrolls

Support the team in maintaining accurate employee records, timesheets, and payroll data

Help with the administration of statutory payments including SSP, SMP, and SPP

Ensure compliance with internal controls and HMRC regulations

Respond to payroll queries in a timely and professional manner

Liaise with HR and Finance departments where necessary
