PeakHR is a human resources consultancy offering support and advice to employers across the Midlands. We get involved in preparation of contracts of employment, policies and handbooks as well as recruitment, disciplinary issues, redundancies and absence management so no two days are the same.

Due to significant growth in the last year we are now looking for an experienced HR professional to join the business to enable and support further growth.

Based at home but undertaking travel to our clients around the Midlands and occasionally further afield the duties will be incredibly varied but will include:

Providing employment law and general HR advice to clients both face to face and via email and telephone; ensuring the advice offers best practice and commercially practical solutions, explaining risks, liabilities and benefits.

Conducting HR meetings with and on behalf of clients i.e. grievances, disciplinary hearings, redundancy consultations, absence meetings and performance related meetings.

Preparing human resources documentation, including contracts of employment, staff handbooks, maternity documentation and HR Review Reports for clients with guidance.

Assisting with recruitment work on behalf of clients, managing client advertising budgets, establishing contact with candidates, arranging interviews and managing rejections.

Contributing to business development activities and proactively working to secure new opportunities and promote the business.

Contributing to marketing activities by writing blog posts and social media posts.

Successful candidates will have the following skills and experiences:

Ideally you'll have CIPD Level 5 or higher but your experience is of paramount importance.

You should have at least 3 years experience in a HR Advisor, HR Business Partner or HR Consultant capacity with a track record of providing advice of a range of HR issues.

Solid and up to date employment law knowledge is a must. Experience of TUPE transactions and/or working with unions is an advantage but not essential.

You must be able to work from home in a confidential and uninterrupted office space but you will have regular travel across the Midlands and occasionally further afield.

You must have a full, driving licence and your own transport.

You should be highly organised with excellent time management skills to meet client deadlines.

Have excellent attention to detail with strong verbal and written communication skills.

You must be self-motivated, disciplined and be able to work on your own initiative.

You must be hardworking, reliable, trustworthy, motivated, committed and loyal.

You'll be happy with a high degree of flexibility in your tasks, viewing no job as too big or too small.

Be a confident user of Microsoft Office software.

Have a professional and confident demeanour.

This is a home-based , part-time role working 30 hours a week (exact hours can be discussed) you must be able to work Monday to Friday each week with a degree of flexibility in the hours worked the rest of the day.

We will pay you a salary of up to GBP36,000 a year , pro-rated to your part-time hours (the final salary is always dependent upon experience). You will also have 20 days' annual leave (plus bank holidays and Christmas closure and increasing with service) and have access to a work-based pension scheme.

We are a small, friendly and down to earth team. We love to share our knowledge, use each other as a sounding board and work together on projects but you must be confident in your HR knowledge and expertise to instil that confidence in our clients.

If you are interested, please apply with a current and up to date CV.
