Description
I am a 50-year-old male Relationship Counsellor specialising in all types of relationship issues, with a total of 15 years of practice. I have successfully supported over 750 UK-based couples and 650 individuals in overcoming relational challenges.
My approach is focused on delivering rapid, impactful change.
70% of the couples I’ve worked with see real progress after just 3-4 sessions. This focused approach helps couples save time and money by addressing their core issues effectively, allowing them to stay on track with agreed-upon actions.
Showing your partner a new you—someone who consistently makes an effort and takes initiative in the areas they've been hoping you'd work on—can be deeply appreciated and make a lasting impact, especially during the two-month therapy process.
Consistency and momentum are key to creating a sustainable shift in your relationship.
Therapy with me helps you make consistent, visible changes that your partner will notice. By focusing on building momentum in just a couple of months, we indeed aim to resolve conflicts and rebuild connection within that timeframe (of course, you are welcome to have a longer course if that’s what you’ll want).

APPROACH AND EXPERTISE
My work is informed by leading relationship experts and frameworks, including:
The Gottmans, Esther Perel, Terry Real, Teal Swan, Sue Johnson, Harville Hendrix,
Brené Brown, Gabor Maté, Patrick Carnes, Dan Siegel, Alain de Botton,
Nedra Glover Tawwab, Elizabeth Earnshaw, Stan Tatkin, and Patricia Love.
I integrate the following widely recognized models into my practice:
- The Gottman Method
- Attachment Theory
- IFS (Internal Family Systems)
- Codependency
- Inner Child work
- Love Languages
- Trauma-informed practices
I also draw from the insights of Vienna Pharaon, David Schnarch, Julia Samuel, Philippa Perry, Robin Skynner, Helen Fisher, Mel Robbins, Tony Gaskins, Matthew Hussey, Lucille Shackleton, and Jordan Green.
I combine all of these approaches into a practical, flexible framework tailored to your relationship’s specific needs, with a focus on communication, trust, and emotional healing.

NAVIGATING TOUGH TIMES TOGETHER
I know it feels disheartening when your partner doesn’t notice or appreciate your efforts. Their resentment might hold them back. But it’s also a vicious cycle; when we don’t feel appreciated, we lose motivation and consistency.
- Simply getting three things right a week won’t heal your relationship. You need consistency and momentum. That’s essentially my approach: Agreeing on actions to maintain high momentum for two months to facilitate a sustainable shift in the right direction, so you won’t need therapy afterward.
- This includes work on stepping up your communication skills both within and outside of sessions. It's crucial to make your partner feel emotionally connected to you—avoid shutting them down and instead engage in more conversations, rather than avoiding them or reacting with anger.
- We’ll also focus on identifying the triggers that cause you to disengage or engage in unhealthy ways.
- Whether you're contemplating separation or eager to uncover the root causes of your relationship challenges, I am here to guide you. We'll work on teamwork and effective communication, helping you grow as a couple and heal old wounds.

BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
I’ve been living in the UK for the last 25 years, following 20 years in Italy and four years across Japan, India, and Southeast Asia. My multicultural background enriches my ability to connect with clients from diverse walks of life, and I bring that perspective into my therapy practice.
I have worked for leading UK charities for 10 years in both group and individual therapy roles. For the last 11 years, I have run a successful private practice focusing on relationship counselling. My background is in the Person-Centred approach, though I also incorporate CBT and Internal Family Systems (IFS) based on the needs of each couple.
