Description

This is our Mercedes Sprinter Campervan, registered in 2005, Model 214, MWB, 2.3Ltr LPG/ Petrol conversion. Extensive folder of receipts since 2005. Strongly suggest a must see.

A reliable and comfortable option for road trips and adventures. With a 5 x speed manual transmission and dual fuel type petrol/ LPG (2 x separate 75ltr tanks), it offers great mileage at 169,000 miles. Our campervan features essential equipment such as a Kenwood CD with 4 x Sony speakers, SMAD 40L 12V Fridge, 2 x gas hob from Dometic with sink and heatproof glass cover when not in use, electric tap fed from 25ltr water built underneath and waste water into another 25 ltr water butt, large in-built fixed double-bed with loads of storage underneath, and 2 x 100W solar panels on the roof with 20A Battery Charge Controller to manage power. An internal 100Ah leisure battery is then dual powered by the solar and van engine, when engine running. The vehicle also includes safety features like a driver airbag, ABS and traction control, and has a sleeping capacity for 2 people in the large bed space. There are two captain swivel chairs at the front of the van so can face inwards. There are not one but two GH Awnings. Only ever needed/ used the one awning by the slide door. It is very large and a necessity when raining or in the hot sun. The internal campervan build was built by my own hand.

The LPG was installed as part of the brand-new vehicle by Mercedes as a dealer extra. Currently just had MOT in July 2025 ready to go. It also had a brand-new service. There is extensive maintenance history dating back to 2005. LPG will need a separate service to the petrol service it's had as had issues with wanting to switch back from LPG to petrol on a run (no local service can service here in Cardiff despite trying).

Reason for selling. This campervan is ready for its next journey, and we just don't use it as we're only ever totalling less than 1500 miles annually due to other commitments. The van is great for festivals and camper trips. There are internal window covers that stick on at night for privacy provided by the previous owners (Fox Moto/ Mojo – some faint advertising still seen on van)

Time to hand over to someone that will use 'Martha Merc' far more than we have :)

She has her rust spots and small advisories. Apart from the petrol service, we just had the handbrake system completely replaced (left for months parked and had seized), and new bearing and sensor also on the back wheel replaced which had cause the ABS and traction control to come on. No lights on the dashboard for old Martha now, just the LPG needing a service which we have no time to search out.
