8 km south of Valence, 4 times a day speed train to Paris (500km in 2h15min!), 6-7 hours from Amsterdam, entry for highway A7 to Barcelone 5min. On the edge of a beautiful village full of character, this villa is completely atypical. It is located directly on the banks of the Rhone on the ‘ViaRhona’ cycle path. All materials used in the house are strictly ecological: 3.30 m high exterior walls made of bricks, insulating exterior plaster, 3-4 cm thick clay plaster on the interior, which ensures an excellent indoor climate in every season. The floor in the living room and bedroom is just one example of the blend of exceptional exclusivity and closeness to nature with a unique design: In addition to the gallery, the upper floor also houses the shower room and genuine large, multicoloured natural slate, over 2 cm thick, hand-cut in Africa, with a fantastic relief and beautiful colouring. Natural slate tiles in the kitchen and bathroom. Polygonal natural stone in the study. Real wood parquet flooring in the tower room of the main house and on the first floor of the annex. The living room and kitchen of the annex are laid with 3 cm thick blue-grey marble slabs (70x70 cm). All stone floors throughout the property are heated by underfloor heating, which is powered by a water/water heat pump installed in 2019. The water is supplied by a 17 m deep well dug into the pool house. This use of groundwater makes the house independent of French water supplier Veolia. The water is tested regularly and is drinkable. A photovoltaic system recently installed in the summer completes the property's autonomy. The last 4 photos show the extension.
