ANTIQUE FRENCH COPPER PANS, SET OF FIVE TIN LINED IRON HANDLE SAUCEPANS, 22.5-14cm diameter 5kg - circa 1920s FRENCH KITCHENALIA

Selling our collections (hoards) of mostly French vintage items that have been acquired over many years until finally we have no room for more!

Part of our collection of French copper kitchenalia, we got these from a brocante near Troyes in the Champagne region and apparently they came from the clearance of a local farmhouse.
It’s a set of five good quality antique graduated copper pans with copper riveted iron handles and traditional hand wiped tin linings.
I’m advised these can be dated to around the 1920s due to their robust but rustic construction, prominent copper rivets and linings.
The pans are lined in hand wiped tin which is very worn and stained, more so in some cases than others, but just about intact and in my opinion useable, although re-tinning may be necessary in the future if to be used for serious cooking.
A nice useful range of sizes - 22.5 cm diameter, 20cm, at 18.5 cm, 16 cm and 14 cm - they display really well.
Worn but still sound, robust, bright and functional, they also make great decorative pieces of French kitchenalia.

In good sound antique condition with knocks, wear, rust to the handles and staining - please examine photographs carefully for condition.
In more or less as found condition, these have just had a thorough wash and I’m sure they would polish up nicely if so required.
All stand well.
The copper is in good, bright, sound, condition but with staining, tarnishing and wear - see photos.
Some pans have been used more than others and have more wear and staining - see photos.
Some pans are slightly misshapen from the circular but are sound - see photos.
The iron handles are in good condition but have some wear and surface rust - see photos.
The pans have prominent triple copper rivets to the handle joints and all handles are secure with no movement.
The tin lined interiors are well used, worn and stained but just about intact - see photos.
They are worn down to bare copper towards the upper edges of some pans but the bases are just about intact - see close up photos.
I can find no makers mark.

Measure approximately:
22.5 cm diameter, 11 cm tall, 43 cm long (to tip of handle),
20 cm diameter, 10 cm tall, 40 cm long,
18.5 cm diameter, 9 cm tall, 35 cm long,
16 cm diameter, 8 cm tall, 31 cm long,
14 cm diameter, 7 cm tall, 27 cm long,
Weigh about 5 kg in total.
