Description

Porsche 986 550 Spyder Anniversary Edition. Equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission, this vehicle is the last registered Porsche 986 Boxster in the UK in June 2006, this is a true unicorn.

It is finished in GT Silver with a full Natural leather interior, presented in Black. This special edition marks the 50th Anniversary of the iconic Porsche 550 Spyder, limited to just 1,953 units worldwide. This one does not have the plaque but the original build docket can be shown stating it is number: 331. I've got confirmation of the cars heritage from Porsche GB, happy to share.

Factory enhancements exclusive to the 550 Spyder include a modified intake system, upgraded air filters, and air vents derived from the soon-to-be-released 987 Boxster, boosting its output to 266bhp. The car is equipped with M030 sports suspension, lowering the ride height by 10mm for improved handling. It sits on 18" lightweight Carrera alloys, painted in Seal Grey with a silver rim (refurbished in 2024), paired with 5mm spacers to enhance its stance. Additional 550 Spyder features include silver alloy brake calipers, a chrome 'Boxster S' badge, and a distinctive "stacked" stainless steel exhaust tailpipe flanked by silver mesh grilles on the lower rear bumper vents. Standard equipment also includes Litronic headlights with headlamp wash and Porsche Stability Management (PSM).

The interior is beautifully finished in Natural Black full leather, which extends across the dashboard and door panels. The hard-backed sports seats feature model-specific perforated leather, also shared with the 996 Anniversary model. GT Silver accents adorn the seat backs, center console, instrument binnacle surround, climate control panel, and dashboard trim. The leather sports steering wheel originates from the 996 Turbo S, while model-specific kickplates, chrome instrument bezels, a unique gear knob, and a factory short-shift gear selector complete the bespoke interior. The roll-over hoops are also finished in GT Silver.

Recent maintenance includes full service (oil, filters), new spark plugs, battery and wheel alignment. The car has had a new window regulator, ignition coils and Yuasa battery. The car was resprayed in 2021 and is dry stored.
