Kaffir lily, hardy evergreen groundcover plant, remove compost pot in a pond basket in aquatic soil for growing in pond margins. easy to grow in any soil in sun or part shade, flat sword like leaves height 8 to 12 in high(up to 24in when flowering) flowers late autumn sept -Nov, can spread up to 3ft in dense clumps, very few weeds emerge amongst it therefore helping to reduce weeding! unusual but very attractive! red star shaped flowers 1 1/2 in across, with 6 to 10 flowers on each stem. water in dry spells until established, low maintenance and easy to grow so ideal for inexperienced gardeners
