Antique Art Nouveau Art & Crafts Terracotta Hand Decorated Urn,
circa 1890.
We are delighted to offer this English, late 19th century Art & Crafts designed terracotta pot. A provincial studio pottery made piece in a classic urn shape. Beautifully hand decorated with over glaze emerald green & black detailing. Floral & scrolling acanthus leaf body design & tube line boarders.
This piece comes directly from a recent grand estate sale & is sold in superb as found antique condition. Lovely age related surface patination with only very minor surface scuffs.
It displays very nicely indeed & is ready to use, love & enjoy once more. Superb antique charm.
A delightful country house piece, typical of its Art Nouveau Art & Crafts period & this example would date nicely to the late 19th century, circa 1890.
It would make for a wonderful hallway console table decoration . . .
