Vintage 'John Lewis Optima' 6-person wicker picnic basket, containing:
6 x knives
6 x forks
6 x teaspoons
6 x ceramic plates
5 x ceramic mugs
3 x small glasses
2 x large rectangular plastic food
containers
1 x plastic salt and pepper set
1 x small tub with screw-top lid
2 x small wicker baskets
The plates and mugs, made by Churchill, are cream with a blue and green floral design. The cutlery has cream handles and is made from Sheffield stainless steel.
The cutlery and plates are secured on to the lid of the basket. The lid has a blue background and is secured, when open, by chains. The Optima logo is on the inside of the lid. The set originally had a thermos flask, 6 plates, 6 mugs and 6 glasses.
