In almost as new condition, this piano would be a great choice for anyone looking for a high quality instrument for progressing through their piano studies, or for a classy looking and sounding piano within the home. Made by Yamaha in Indonesia in 2021, it has been very well cared for by the previous owners and offers a wonderful opportunity for the next owners. Yamaha pianos are renowned for their robust build quality, fast and smooth actions and clear, bright tone. The P range is a step up from their entry level B range with noticeably richer tone. The P116 is a little smaller than their benchmark U1 model, yet offers a very similar playing experience in a stylish package and is a very good alternative at a lower price point.



Tone and tuning

This piano has a lovely tone with Yamaha’s renowned clarity, nice and even throughout the registers and a very good dynamic range. Tuned to concert pitch (A=440).



Keyboard and action

The full 88 note keyboard is in excellent condition and the action has been regulated to play smoothly across the whole keyboard with a light to medium weight action, which will suit any level of pianist. Yamaha’s piano actions are well loved for being fast and resposnive under the fingers and this certainly lives up to that reputation.


Hammers and strings

Strings in excellent condition and not much wear at all in the hammers, see photos.


Sound board

Excellent condition, no cracks or splits.


Case

The ebony polished cabinet is in very good condition throughout. The odd tiny mark here and there, but hardly visible. Matching adjustable stool included in the sale.
