Description

I am a professional musician and Guildhall Masters Scholar (Jazz), originally from New Zealand but now based out of London and whenever my schedule allows, I offer mentoring to people of all ages who are learning music, working with music or simply curious about music. My teaching/mentoring style is very learner-directed. I help people find their creative voice, their passion, their art: the things about music that really get them excited and inspired.

I have been a private teacher since 2010, a touring artist since 2013 and a guest mentor for Music For Youth since 2019, working with young artists, composers, orchestrators and bands around the country to help them evolve their creative skills. As an working artist first and foremost, I draw on all sorts of skills and experience to support your learning, including (but not limited to):

**PLEASE NOTE** All of my regular teaching and mentoring predominantly takes place ONLINE, with an in-person studio day offered every couple of months. This allows me to support people in a wider range of locations, while also helping you get comfy in your own music-making environment.

As a working artist, I sometimes need to reschedule sessions when shows and tours come up, but I believe that my being a working artist is what gives me even the most valuable skills to offer to you as your mentor.
