Description

Hi, My name is Zaira. I am a certified Separation Anxiety Pro Behaviour Consultant (CSAP-BC) and certified Dog Trainer (Victoria Stilwell Academy for Dog Training and Behaviour). I am also Advanced Canine First Aid trained (Pet Skills Academy) and am fully insured for all of the services I offer.

I pride myself on putting the emotional well-being of all of the dogs that I work with at the forefront of everything I do. This is one of the many reasons I am so passionate about helping dogs to try and overcome their separation anxiety.

For this, I use a compassionate and methodical approach called ‘gradual exposure,’ which focuses on ensuring that your dog always remains comfortable and within their emotional threshold. In theory – this is the same approach taken when treating human phobias!

Within every aspect of my job and the training services I offer, I firmly believe that we can become truly attuned to our dogs – be this by providing our dogs with the attention and mental/physical stimulation they need, by learning how to effectively communicate with them, and by both guiding and teaching them.

By fulfilling all of their needs, we can begin to build a profound and unique relationship with our dogs – one built on collaboration, trust, respect, and love.

We booked Zaira for her 4 week course to help with our dog’s separation anxiety. Zaira went way beyond our expectations. Throughout the course she remained calm, professional and extremely supportive and flexible when training was difficult. We have learnt an enormous amount about our dog and his personality as well dog behaviour in general. We are definitely armed with relevant knowledge to continue building on this training. We would not hesitate to recommend Zaira to anyone looking for help with their dog’s separation anxiety.

Highly recommend Zaira, she's wonderful and she's been such a great help with our puppy Cocoa. Zaira is professional and always provides lots of information during and after our training sessions. She's very supportive and takes time to address all of our questions.

Such a lovely lady and is full of knowledge to help you with training, we met yesterday and I have to say it’s not about the honey, she engages with you and your dog and really offers her support, After the session I received an email going over what we learnt and many other tips. I would highly recommend Zairaxx

Zaira is an amazing dog trainer. My dog loves her. She’s so patient and would always give you a lot of advices. I have seen improvement with my dog from the very first sessions. I would definitely recommend her to anyone!

I have gone for the 8 weeks package for my 1 year old Cavapoo Marlo who had really bad anxiety the minute I even tried to get to the door or if he lose sight of me for a second. I have started working on it with Zaira and this was definitely the best decision for me and Marlo. Zaira’s calm and positive attitude has changed Marlo’s view on being alone. The tailored training plan has worked for Marlo so well and now he feels save being alone and smash every target duration one by one. Working with Zaira has been a pleasure and it gave me the push that I needed to see consistency and small steps work. She has been available at all times to review my training videos and answer my questions even during Christmas. This just shows how dedicated she is to make sure she is there for you when you need her. We still have a work to do with Marlo but thanks to Zaira we have done the biggest steps with her and we know how to train in a future. I would absolutely recommend Zaira to anyone who has a dog suffering with anxiety. I’ve been told by other people training at this age is waste of time, it’s waste of money, it won’t work but TRUST ME it works and the difference I can see in Marlo is huge. He has not only changed while staying alone but he is much more confident now, his recall has improved too and in general his behavior in many aspects has changed for better. During the 8 weeks not only Marlo learned so much but myself as a dog mum I know so much more, I can read Marlo so well and I’m able to spot any small signs of stress straight away now, signs that I would never tell was stress signs before I started working with Zaira. Zaira is not just a person who focus on your for 8 weeks and once your package is done she don’t care. She gives you all the tricks and advice needed for you to continue the training on your own. Mummy and Marlo are very grateful for all you did for us.
