My name is Mauro - I am a bicultural educator (Italian-British) with nearly 20 years of experience working in diverse educational settings. I help children discover their potential through engaging after-school sessions. With expertise in both education and music, I create afternoons that balance learning with creativity.

I believe learning happens best when children are engaged and confident. Children enjoy my activities and appreciate my words of encouragement and mentorship. As their guide, I strive to inspire curiosity, build confidence, and foster a genuine thirst for knowledge. My role extends beyond education to include building character, fostering resilience, and nurturing their natural curiosity in a supportive environment.

••• EDUCATIONAL STRATEGIES:

My teaching philosophy centers on unbiased, effective reasoning and strong communication skills. I create a learning laboratory where children apply knowledge to real-world challenges—like using math to plan a theoretical trip or improving English through creating a podcast.

This approach transforms abstract concepts into practical skills they'll use throughout life.
I see my work as an opportunity to inspire, guide, encourage, build confidence, and promote self-esteem in children and teenagers during their most formative years.

My educational approach is enriched by international experience including three years in New York (2000-2003), complementing my extensive time in London and Italy. Beyond education and music, I maintain active interests in neuroscience, behavioral psychology, and physical activities (cycling, running, hiking, and swimming).

••• AVAILABILITY & SERVICE AREA:
I'm available weekday afternoons (2pm-8pm) and can create a schedule that works for your family's needs. Based in North London, I work with families across North and Central London areas.

••• MY COMMITMENT:
I aim to work with only 1 or 2 families at a time. My goal is to establish meaningful relationships and to design educational activities that resonate with the children I work with.
This focused approach allows me to be fully present, understand each child's unique learning style, and adapt my methods to their evolving needs. Currently open to connecting with a new family for the spring term.
