Alf Welski:

Born in Mühlheim/Ruhr (Germany) in 1926.
1941 – 1943: Studied at Folkwangschule/Essen with Jo Pieper.
1947: Attended Werkkunstschule Bielefeld under Prof. Muggly. Worked as a freelance painter and graphic artist in Vlotho. Also worked as a freelance contributor, drawing for various newspapers, including FREIE PRESSE Bielefeld.
1949: Exhibited at the Märkisches Museum with Willy Baumeister and Hans Hartung.
From 1964: Worked as a teacher for artistic design at special schools.
1968 – 1970: Received a graphic scholarship from the Aldegrever-Gesellschaft Münster.
1973 – 1975: Actively engaged in the Cultural and Partnership Committee of the city of Bad Oeyenhausen. Simultaneously served as the chairman fo the Professional Association of Visual Artists.
From 1975: Taught etching and copperplate printing at the Fachhochschule Bielefeld, expanding to include lithography.
1978: Alf Welski was appointed as a professor.
Since 1983: Received a work scholarship from the city of Krakow, the Cultural Historical Museum, and the National Museum of Krakow, as well as the Public Committee for the Restoration of Cultural Monuments in Krakow.
2007: Passed away.
