Description
An unusual 1920s art deco style Oak wardrobe. This is a rare piece; we are only selling it because we have just had fitted wardrobes installed. Oak means it goes with almost anything. Also it is beautifully carved. The sides are thick, and if you hacked them off, you could probably get 100 for each piece of timber. The drawer is solid, and you can see that it will easily last another 100 years. We have not had it treated because we have had no need to, but a bit of linseed oil would bring it up a treat.
The crown is missing, no idea where that went, we never had it, and there is a handle part missing, clearly visible in the photo. A reclamation should have another to match. Beautiful lock mechanism which still works.
193cm tall, 103cm wide ( A yard, I suppose) 40cm deep.
I could give a hand carrying down the stairs if you needed it. I can not deliver.
