I am so passionate about being a Celebrant and being part of someone's special day. I do weddings, Vow Renewals, Naming Ceremonies, funerals and memorial services. No limit on guests, no matter how big or small, I've done them all. I trained with the Regent Academy and qualified at a high standard.
My focus this year is to get a website up and running, up till now I have gained work via word of mouth and agencies. I particularly enjoy the smiles and laughter when I share stories with the guests and love it at the end of ceremonies when people shake my hand and say thank you for making it so enjoyable and not stuffy. STUFFY I am not! I do, however, signify the importance of the ceremony and will tailor to the individual. In recent same sex/gender ceremonies, I have mentioned the change in the law, which I find particularly poignant and important and is always greeted with a huge round of applause. Every Celebrant will say that they are unique, well we are all unique, but its vital that the people we are honouring feel unique and special.
I believe anything is possible and with the correct advice and guidance, together your special day will be exactly as it says on the tin.
Where possible I will try to keep costs down to a minimum by having zoom and meetings via teams, but love to meet my clients in person, especially in the beginning stages. I always provide a certificate which can be signed to offer a great photo opportunity and all printed on high quality paper. Am always happy to provide extra copies at no further cost and also printed copies of scripts if desired.
I have a full DBS and have worked for over 20 years in education and am now Safeguarding and Learning Support manager in a training agency. I make jewellery and as an added gesture, I like to present hand made wine glass charms to the adult bridesmaids and have been commissioned to make affordable wedding favours.
Nothing is a bother and nothing is not achievable, you want a jumping the broom, mixing of sands, handfasting etc...then why not!
