Description
I bought this T2 bay window in November 2021 and have enjoyed many memorable trips in her with my family. Sadly, we're parting ways as our children have outgrown her. Originally from Alberta, Canada, this left hand drive was, I understand from the previous owner, lovingly restored by the British owner prior to him, including the fitting of a new engine in 2019). It has original wooden panelling throughout; original lights, canvas cabin bed (the roof bed canvas has recently been replaced) and pop top canvas roof; matching 70s classic style floor and curtains; classic seating finishes; and original dashboard and sink, crockery and fridge unit. There are also modern additions of convenience, such as a remote controlled heater, a CD player and USB port, additional lighting, a double socket point and Smad VW fridge.
I've had her regularly serviced and maintained by a local VW specialist (details on request). For example, in the past 6 months, I've had a new wing mirror and leisure battery fitted. She's in very good working order and condition, but with a few points of rust and paint bubbles.
This sale also comes with a Brenderup trailer (270kg capacity) in the same Sierra yellow colour, with spare wheel box on top; a drive away orange awning and separate awning sheet and poles; window covers (for night time) and mossie window net covers; classic luggage boxes; and other smaller extras, like kettle.
