Suzuki GS550 1979 - Cafe Racer Project Bike

For sale is a 1979 suzuki GS550.

Main points
- This is a project bike and sold as spares or repairs.
- The bike is road tax and MOT exempt due to its age
- The bike runs but the carburetors definitely need a tune or rebuild. I have had the bike running multiple times but will probably not run if you come to see it. I think it floods itself when sitting and then won't start but I havnt spent the time to really dig into to it. If I take the carbs off and empty the bowls, the bike will run when i put them back on.
- Doesn't look like I can include videos on Gumtree but I can send you a video of it running if you're interested.
- Gearbox appears to work, and gear indicator shows going up gears when cycling through them.
- I have not driven this bike, as never finnished the rebuild
- The bike would benefit from a cafe racer style seat.
- The exhaust has been chopped by previous owner
- This bike has non-standard handle bars.
- Front wheel has 2 disks, I have run in one calliper, the other side needs plumbed in. I have fitted new braided brake cables front and back.
- Back brakes have had a rebuild with new pads, Cylinders, seals and braided hoses.
- New spark plugs, battery, oil, front and back brake switches, speedo cable, front brake master cylinder rebuild, new throttle cables and clutch cable. new back tyre, and steering stem bearings.
- I have bought carb rebuild kits but haven't gotten round to rebuilding the carbs so it will come with the sale also
- I have the V5C and chassis number matches the paperwork. There is no numberplate.
- This bike would need picked up
