Description

Selling our beloved campervan due to family bereavement and unable to maintain both cars.

Our Bongo is a standard model so is a MPV as daily can be used as an 8 seated car aswell as a campervan.

It’s an automatic, diesel, 181,579 on the clock, easy to drive, narrow and fits into most standard car spaces. Tow bar fitted to the back by previous owner and never used by ourselves.

2 centre seats in the back are rows are lap belts only.

All 5 back windows have tinted film on windows and 4 of the windows have electric blinds that still operate and curtains in the back window.

Curtains also still in place to block off the front for privacy too.

The pop top roof operates electronically and is still operating. Has enough space for 1 adult or two small children. This is accessed through a square like a loft hatch and then pushed down to integrate as the floor.

Whilst using daily you can use the window form the pop top roof as an extra window too.

The back 2 rows fold down to create a double bed and is fairly spacious.

Cup holders throughout. New radio fitted with usb port too.

Middle row can slide forward and back for extra room and the side door (only has one door on the side of this car) is also sliding so great for kids getting in and out.

Boot size is fair but can also store things under the rows of seat without affect foot space.

Parking sensors have also been fitted to the rear bumper too.

Now the not so good points.

This van will be 30 years old next year so granted that comes with its flaws.

I haven’t put it through its MOT in July as I’ve been advised it will fail on rust and needs welding.

Superficially there are areas on the exterior like one of the rear arches and other areas captured in pictures.

But structurally welding will need done to the front end and potentially sills aswell.

I have been advised 2 or more of the coolant pipes are corroded too and this does mean you have to keep the coolant constantly topped up or else the engine will get hot quickly.

My late husband regularly serviced the vehicle but it hasn’t been serviced this year. However, it was run frequently and used for trips but hasn’t done a lot of miles in the last year.

There is also a small whistle that occasionally comes from the exhaust when accelerating hard which may need looked at too.

The paintwork isn’t the greatest as the original stickers were removed and have left traces behind and the bonnet is showing signs of depreciation too.

This is all the information that I currently hold on the car as it was my husband who dealt with it all. I can answer any questions you may have regarding the car before viewing but highly recommend viewing it too as it is a great car.

We bought this car in August 2022 and have had many great trips in it as a family of 5, I’d love it to be used again by someone for many more trips to come.

I also have an awning, front window cover and electric hook up I would be willing to provide with the car.
