Description
This would be an excellent blank canvas for a conversion project into anything including a mobile home, camper van, art studio, food truck, or other commercial or personal vehicle. My wife and I had been converting it into a mobile home / camper, but then I had to prioritise a job opportunity, which led to us shelving the project (at the painting stage, as you might see from the pictures). One huge advantage to this vehicle is that it was down-plated with the DVLA (≤3.5 tonnes), such that it is legal to drive it on a normal license, despite its generous size (over 21 feet long!). I recently took it to a weighbridge and it was approximately 2.5 tonnes, so there is much scope for making additions.
It had a full service in March of this year and its MOT is due in December. It also has a good MOT history. The fact that it has a light, fibreglass body means that it is easy to repair and paint. It boasts a 2.5 litre engine, runs on diesel, and has manual transmission (apologies if it says it's automatic elsewhere in this advert; for some reason Marketplace auto-filled that).
In it's previous lives it was a mobile barber shop and a minibus. Despite its age, it is almost entirely rust-free and drives well (currently at 131,000 miles). The batteries are relatively new as well. It is equipped with a Eberspaecher diesel heater, 360° panoramic views, speaker and LEDs in the ceiling, and even a TV. It has a standard electrical hookup, like you would find on camper vans, and has two batteries (a main one, and an auxiliary one for all be bells and whistles).
On the inside we have stripped it back to the point where it is ready to be built up and transformed into the vehicle of your dreams.
