1948 Mk6 Bentley chassis, engine, gearbox, etc; to make your own special!

1948 Bentley Mk6, DA series chassis and the majority of original parts to make a complete operational rolling chassis suitable for building into your own special.

Parts are as photos and include:
Chassis, some welding is required to finish the frame such as the rear spring hangers.
4.25l engine which came from a working vehicle, radiator, radiator frame, front grille shell and slats
Refurbished gearbox, gearstick change mechanism and rear tiebar
Clutch assembly, flywheel, bell housing, clutch lever,
Brake servo
Water pump and adapter casting
Inlet manifold, carburettors, exhaust down pipe
propshafts
Front and rear axles c/w wheels, good brake drums, wheel covers and axle spinners
Steering wheel, steering column and steering linkages. Front anti-roll bar
2No Front absorbers and 4No rear absorbers
Fuel tank, fuel pump/housing, fuel feed to carbs, fuel filter, pipe to tank and filter. Fuel tank straps for patterns.

Instrument cluster and speedo
Distributor, ignition coil, starter motor drive, starter motor, regulator, fuse box cover, ignition master switch.

Parts are all in labelled boxes rather than a big mound of bits so should be easier to plan which bits to do first.

Although I do not have a V5C, I do have a certified copy of the vehicle licence ledger from where the registration number was allocated to the original car from the South West Heritage Trust. I also have the rear number plate- ACE letters and digits for the registration

Bentley MK VI Parts List (some pages have marks as we were trying to get all the bits required before we started the build)

There is an awful lot of stuff included in this package and we were intending to make a special until it became evident that my wife’s illness meant that we could never really use the vehicle so we have decided to let someone else make their own special vehicle.
