Travel around North America with your own fabulous 2016 Ford F350 King Ranch Pick-up & a 34ft 2019 Open Range 337 RLS 5th wheel.
Are you about to retire or retired and fed up with the UK weather. Have you thought about long term travel in North America?
Presently Stored in Nevada, a fully fitted out ready to use 4 berth 5th wheel with lots of storage inside and out. Neither the trailer or truck has had pets or smokers, and both are owned outright by us, a British couple.
The bedroom has a slide out with a permanent queen size bed with storage underneath, a large mirrored double hanging wardrobe with two large drawers underneath and a chest of two drawers. There is another cupboard with lots of storage space, which is set up for a washer/dryer if needed, and two bed side shelves. It has its own 32” TV. The floor is carpeted. All bedding is included.
There is a door to the shower room and one to the hallway. The shower room has a large shower with sliding doors. A toilet and sink as well as a lot of storage, 3 cupboards two mirrored and a set of 4 drawers. The room has washable flooring. There’s another door to the hall where there is a small cupboard for coat hanging, and a control panel.
The lounge has a fixed wooden table and 4 moveable dining chairs with storage in the seats. A fold up 3 seater sofa which makes into a Queen bed, with a large shelf either side, and two reclining chairs. The lounge has two opposing slides which when deployed makes a 15 foot wide lounge area. There are lots of windows which makes the trailer lovely and light. All the windows and main door have fly screens fitted. The windows have roller blackout blinds, pelmets and fake curtains.
The unit has lots of LED lights and power points throughout. It also has automatic self leveling to make setting up on site so easy.
There is a large residential fridge/freezer and the freezer will hold enough main meals for two people for 30 days as well as vegetables, bread and ice cream. It also has a built in ice maker. There is a 3 ring propane hob and oven, and a fitted electric microwave. A double sink set in a Corian worktop, lots of cupboard space and drawers. There is a floating kitchen island also topped in Corian, that has two drawers and a double door cupboard which gives more than enough work space without intruding into the lounge area. All kitchen utensils, pots and pans, plates, mugs and glasses are included. Lots of other cupboards throughout the lounge area.
There is a corner 40” TV set in a cabinet with a Radio/CD/DVD player. Below is a flame effect electric fire.
The main heating is via an 11 Kw. blown air furnace, which heats the whole unit including the underbelly where the tanks are located. A propane/electric water heater with a 38 litre capacity provides sufficient hot water for at least two showers without the need for reheating.
There are two air conditioners, one in the bedroom and the other in the main living area which are ducted together.
The unit has a 200watt solar panel on the roof as well as a 160watt portable solar panel. 4 of 110 amp hour batteries supply more than enough power to camp off grid. There is an electric powered sun canopy from the door to the front of the unit, with LED lighting built in to the roller.
Propane is from 3 of 20lb propane cylinders, two are connected with an automatic changeover valve. Unlike the UK, propane cylinders can be refilled in virtually every town far cheaper than in the UK.
There is plenty of outside storage which has been racked to store the portable solar panel, tool boxes power cables, water hoses, table, 6 camp chairs and an easy up bug tent. There are lots of other accessories including two 2000watt generators which have a kit to enable them to run together for extra power when free camping. A complete list can be supplied on request.
The 5th wheel has 3 holding tanks, a 320 litre fresh water tank, a 160 litre grey water tank and a 140 litre black tank. We have managed to last up to 14 days off grid camping with careful use before they need emptying. Two trailer tyres were replaced in February 2025, another in July 2024 and the oldest is only 3 years old. The spare is as new.

The 2016 Ford F350 King Ranch diesel Pick-up is in white. This is nearly the highest specification version Ford produced, and comes with several factory fitted options. It has a six speed automatic transmission, selectable 4 wheel drive with hi and low ratios and built in differential lock.
We bought the truck from a Ford dealer, it had one previous owner and had around 20500 miles on it. We have had it since January 2019 and added another 80000 miles so by American standards, it’s just run in! (Ford engines usually will cover 350000 without major problems)
The interior has stitched leather seating with the front seats heated and cooled. Separate temperature controls for driver and passenger, tinted electric windows, memory position for the driver’s seat which moves the seat, mirrors and pedal positions. Both front seats have electric height, tilt, reach and lumber adjustment.
The 5th wheel hitch is secured using the factory fitted optional puck system. The truck bed has been fitted with a roll out aluminium locking cover and carpeted bed liner. Underneath the truck is protected by the Ford FX4 package which includes sump and transmission guards for off roading. The two batteries were replaced in January 2025 and the vehicle has been regularly serviced by Ford, all service paperwork will be supplied as service history.
The bed of the truck houses approx. 40 litres of spare diesel capacity in two approved storage containers, and 20 litres of spare petrol capacity in another container for generator use.
The truck provides around 440Hp and 850Lb torque so more than enough power to pull the trailer up any road hill you will encounter. It also has a built in exhaust brake system to control hill descent without worrying about brake fade.
Driving this pickup and fifth wheel in the USA and Canada does NOT require any heavy duty driving licence. You will need your UK licence to have categories C + E (Large trailer)
Be advised, any UK drink driving offence will automatically exclude you from Canada for 10 years, and must be declared on any US visa waiver application.

We are not interested in just selling and walking away, full detailed honest answers will be given to any potential purchaser regarding what is involved in long term touring the USA and Canada, along with help regarding getting a US tourist visa if you qualify. Vehicle and trailer insurance, getting mail, a bank account, free camping etc.
We would also recommend you flying out to the US to join us and see and experience the truck and fifth wheel. We will provide as much help and tuition you need, and demonstrate all the systems before you decide to buy.
