Description
Vega Mandocello 1908. Free string length 63.5cm. Tuning CGDA . Receipt April 10 1908. The Vega Co. Boston. Original machine heads. Several repaired expansion cracks between bridge and tailpin. One long repaired crack on bass side otherwise body in good condition. Action at 12th fret approx. 4mm. Well playable. This instrument has was played professionally in a quartet of mandocellos. Sounded like an ensemble of harps. I bought it off grandson of the person named on the he receipt and he said his father continued to play in the group. Comes with old style fibre guitar case. Collection only.
