Description
This is an early 1970's Vintage - 4 track - Quadraphonic recorder complete with the owners manual, power and connector chords and MANY tapes. (Quadraphonic players produce distinct sounds from 4 speakers while stereo recorders do that to two speakers. This machine does both) Most of the tapes are now recorded on but can be re-recorded ( recorded over). There are two unused new Memorex 1800 sealed recording tapes ( Memorex ceased to exist in 1996) plus a Sony Quadraphonic demo tape, a Pre-recorded tape of the Good the Bad and The Ugly and a pre-recorded Quadraphonic tape of Gladys Knights Imagine album made in 1973.
The recorder has been in a cupboard for 26 years - not used. I plugged it in and saw that it worked but since I don't have an amp I could not hear anything. I have a video of it running but could not upload it here. I imagine it needs tuning up - ie new drive belts etc. I put fair condition but it looks great - the housing is unscratched.
