Description
Very rare 17th century Charles II walnut day bed dating to around 1665.
Very nice original condition with very good colour and original polished surface.
The split cane work on the seat and back is very old and may indeed be the original.
The back/head rest was originally adustable using rope ties but has been fastened in the upright position at some time in the distant past.
The frame is in excellent firm condtion with no wobbling. The canework has a small area near the foot where it has cracked a little.
