A classic modular storage sofa / arm chairs 1970’s vintage, velour, all original, needs reupholstering
Basically sound and usable, has been in continuous use since the mid to late 1970’s so it does need full reupholstering.
It is still all original, I think my friend bought it from Habitat in Bristol in the mid to late 1970’s, and I bought it from him when he moved away in 1988.
Please see the picture for sizes and drawings of various configurations. It is wonderfully flexible, can have a 3 seater sofa and 2 arm chairs, a long 5 seater, L-shaped 4 or 5 seater, two 2 seater and a chair etc.
There are:
5 storage box cushion squares.
7 large arms.
4 small arms.
Please see the pictures to see the condition, from quite good to worn and damaged bits, some of the corners are cat scratched, some are untouched.
There are a few stains and general wear, we have used it with throws for the last twenty odd years so the velour has actually been protected. The house has been non-smoking for over twenty years, the whole sofa was fully cleaned at that time, there have been no food or drink spillages, nor cat toilet related incidents, and no fleas!
Three of the internal box corners are reinforced with extra pieces of wood, shown in the pictures.
Some of the cushion buttons are missing.
